Efficient delivery of proteins into cells remains a major challenge in biomedical and biochemical research. In Research Article e24419, Christian P. R. Hackenberger and co-workers introduce polyfluoroalkyl-tagged cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) that can enhance protein delivery via prolonged membrane retention. The cover illustrates that polyfluoroalkyl-tagged CPPs can interact with lipid bilayers as monomers and partially insert into the outer membrane leaflet, a key insight revealed through biophysical experiments and molecular dynamics simulations.
