The organization aims to enhance cooperation and coordination among member states in the field of political affairs, and to enhance mutual trust among them. The organization also seeks to promote common positions on international political issues, and to work together to solve the problems and challenges faced by member states. The mechanism used for political cooperation among member states is the annual summits of heads of state, and the organization works to deepen multilateral political cooperation
