Neuroimaging is a powerful tool frequently used by neuroscientists to detect neuronal activities, identify cell types and states via marker expression, and map brain circuits. Recent advances in imaging technologies and genetic tools enable more precise targeting of neuronal populations with higher resolution, as well as functional imaging in living organisms. However, added technical complexity can make the implementation of approaches challenging.
