The diagnosis of malignancy in a pregnant woman is considered as an extremely dramatic situation in which there is a conflict of risks to the health and life of the mother and fetus. In such a situation, it is necessary to take a balanced approach to treatment and compare the potential threats to the fetus from surgery, systemic treatments and radiation therapy with the expected results for the patient. Special attention should also be paid to conducting an instrumental examination using radiation diagnostic methods in view of the negative effect of ionizing radiation on the development of the embryo. Based on international literature data, the article presents the features of instrumental and invasive diagnostics of pregnant patients who were simultaneously diagnosed with musculoskeletal sarcoma. The main approaches to the treatment of this rare group of patients, which are used in modern oncology, are highlighted.
