Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping teaching and learning practices, particularly in K–12 English and literature classrooms. By facilitating idea generation, editing, and collaborative storytelling, AI challenges traditional notions of authorship and creativity. Within a posthumanist framework, creativity is no longer solely a human endeavor; instead, it emerges from human–machine collaboration. This chapter examines AI’s role as a tool, partner, and flexible resource in Middle School classrooms (Grades 6–8), highlighting its potential to enhance creativity, engagement, and critical thinking. Practical classroom examples illustrate strategies for integrating AI ethically and effectively, while theoretical discussions explore implications for authorship, digital literacy, and pedagogy. While AI can expand creative possibilities, ethical considerations regarding originality, plagiarism, and student agency must guide its use. The chapter concludes by proposing a pedagogical framework that balances human imagination with AI support, emphasizing reflective practice, creativity, and responsible integration of technology in the digital classroom.
