In H.R. 5629, Rep. Erin Houchin (R‐Indiana) proposes that the regulations governing opioid treatment programs (OTPs), liberalized in 2024 to allow much greater freedom for administration of methadone, be eliminated. Specifically, the bill states that the regulations “shall have no force or effect.”
