Daily measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor (H2O) emissions in the upper layer of a reclaimed peatland with meadow vegetation were conducted in Southern Karelia during the 2023–2024 growing seasons. The study analyzed the response of the CO2 emissions to soil and air temperatures, revealing an exponential relationship between ecosystem respiration and temperature with the coefficients of determination of 0.8398 and 0.4731, respectively. It was found that calculating thermodynamic parameters based solely on air temperature data results in a 2.9-fold underestimation of the activation energy for CO2 release. The activation energy of soil respiration exhibited significant seasonal variability, ranging from 27–35 kJ/mol in summer to 85 kJ/mol in October.
