This work designed a series of cis-diphenylphosphine ethylene ligands to facilitate the Ni-catalyzed primary amination of C(sp2)–Cl bonds. The catalytic system enables the amination of (hetero)aryl chlorides with ammonium acetate, achieving the synthesis of simple aromatic and heteroaromatic amines with good compatibility. Furthermore, this air-stable and easy-to-handle Ni complex demonstrates remarkable versatility in synthetic pathways for pharmaceutical molecules.
