The research carried out through this study was to perfect inbound and outbound logistics of a developing consumer electronics and appliance Manufacturer in India. 50 Logistics and Warehouse personnel provided data through a structured survey at our Company’s warehouse. To analyse the data of warehouse space utilisation, technology integration, inventory management, transportation efficiency & overall logistics performance, we used percentage analysis, chi-square tests, one-sample t-tests, one-way ANOVA & Pearson correlation Analysis. Our analyses revealed that Warehouse Space Utilisation (r=0.748) and Technology Integration (r=0.721) were the 2 strongest predictors of logistics performance. We found strong correlations between inventory management and both transportation efficiency (r=0.682) as well as overall logistics performance (r=0.659). All of the key logistics performance measures that had a statistically significant t-test result (p<0.001) and construct means were 3.54-3.88 on the (5) point Likert scale. We found that perceptions of logistics efficiency are determined by the company as a whole rather than by the individual based on role or experience based on our One-Way ANOVA results. Therefore, we have recommended to the company to invest in WMS & ERP integration, Just in Time (JIT) inventory practices, route optimisation software, automated picking & packing equipment, and real-time tracking tools to significantly reduce operational bottlenecks and transit delays at the warehouse.
