In modern conditions, self-management is beginning to take on new forms and perform new functions, having an increasing impact on the effectiveness of the organization's personnel management system. The purpose of this study is a comparative analysis of the principles and functions of self-management in the personnel management system. The article establishes their relationship, proves the need to comply with the principles and the integrated implementation of all managerial functions. The article presents the results of a study of the attitude of employees of LLC Garant Cheboksary to self-management, its impact on the effectiveness of the personnel management system and the significance of this influence. It is concluded that the analyzed principles and functions are interconnected by managerial logic and are particularly important in management practice.
