Abstract:Background: The growing energy demand associated with data centers and the expansion of renewable energysources have intensified scientific discussions concerning energy efficiency, sustainability, and operationalstability in high-capacity digital infrastructures. Within this context, the present study aims to comprehensivelyexamine technological strategies designed to optimize energy consumption in data centers operating withinrenewable energy-based systems, considering the impacts of energy curtailment on operational efficiency,sustainability, and the stability of energy supply in these infrastructures.Materials and Methods: This study adopted a qualitative methodological approach, as the research sought tointerpret and understand phenomena related to energy curtailment and technological strategies applied to energymanagement in data centers. Methodologically, a bibliographic review was employed as the primary researchstrategy, enabling the systematic organization and critical analysis of scientific publications associated with theinvestigated topic.Results: The findings demonstrated that technical and operational factors directly influence the occurrence ofcurtailment in renewable energy-based systems, affecting the energy stability of data centers. Furthermore, theresults indicated that technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, and energy storage contribute togreater efficiency in computational workload management and to the reduction of energy waste.Conclusion: It was concluded that the integration between intelligent technological solutions and renewableenergy sources promotes greater operational sustainability, energy efficiency, and reliability in the operation ofdata centers with high computational demand.Key Word: Energy curtailment; Data centers; Renewable energy; Energy efficiency.
