Abstract Industry 5.0 represents the next phase of industrial development where advanced technologies such as AI and robotics, big data analytics and intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity, 3D printing, the Internet of Things (IoT), quantum computing, virtual and immersive reality (VR/IR), and nano- and nanobiotechnology work together with human creativity to enable highly personalized, efficient, and sustainable production and services. Unlike Industry 4.0’s strong focus on automation, Industry 5.0 emphasizes human-centric innovation, mass customization, resilience, and sustainability, leading to smarter healthcare, greener manufacturing, transparent governance, and new digital business models. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals adopted to guide countries toward ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all by 2030. Their proposed economic impact includes more inclusive and resilient growth, job creation in green and social sectors, and reduced inequality, while their societal impact includes better quality of life, improved human development, environmental protection, and stronger global cooperation to address shared challenges. In this paper, an elaborative analysis (SWOC and ABCD) are presented on how Industry 5.0 supports economic growth by combining advanced technologies with human creativity to create high-value, sustainable, and resilient economic activities. By integrating AI, robotics, data analytics, and smart manufacturing with human-centered design and skills, it enables mass personalization, efficient resource use, and faster innovation cycles, which increase productivity and competitiveness. At the same time, its focus on sustainability and resilience reduces waste, strengthens supply chains, and opens new markets in green and digital sectors, thereby generating quality jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and driving long-term, inclusive economic growth. Finally, suggestions in the form of recommendations are provided to speed up the use of sustainable Industry 5.0 technologies ethically to realize UNs SDGs by 2030.
