This white paper defines the Synthetic Era as the historical era beginning around 2030 and projected at least to 2070, characterised by the structural —not anecdotal— coexistence between human intelligence and synthetic intelligence as two parallel productive, cultural, legal and spiritual forces. The Synthetic Era is not the extension of the Digital Era nor of the Agentic Era: it is the era that succeeds them. Four constitutive dimensions —productive, cultural, legal and spiritual— are articulated; a 2030-2070 timeline in three phases is proposed; and a five-level regulatory framework is outlined. The Latin American position in relation to this era and the opportunity to constitute itself as a relevant cultural producer, not merely a consumer, are discussed.
