Systems fail to correct not because they cannot detect problems, but because the corrective architecture fails at a layer below the analysis. This note introduces the Correctability Map — a three-layer diagnostic framework that distinguishes what breaks (Layer 1: mechanisms), where the signal fails to reach a position capable of acting on it (Layer 2: visibility), and why a receiving position cannot act even when it has the signal (Layer 3: actionability). The framework was validated across three domains (Boeing MCAS, enterprise ERP, LLM-as-judge pipelines). Formalises the structural claim: correctability is a property of the correction channel, not of the system being corrected.
