The paper presents the results of studying slogans related to the discourse of emergencies in terms of their usage in instructions and recommendations, as well as considering the slogan as a specific type of instructive text. The goals and objectives of the research consist of analyzing the role of English-language slogans in the environment of instructive texts in the discourse of emergencies in the UK and the USA, determining their functional role, and exploring some linguocultural peculiarities encountered in this type of text. Lexical features and linguistic means characteristic of slogans are analyzed, and slogans are described as a type of creolized text. The problem of the research is due to the insufficient study of instructions in the discourse of emergencies in English-language material and the need to describe slogans as instructive texts. The descriptive method is applied in analyzing slogans, as well as elements of contextual analysis to establish the functions of slogans in the context of speech communication. A method of total sampling was used on select websites in the USA and the UK related to emergencies to identify slogans as types of instructive texts. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time, the slogan is considered as a type of instructive text in the discourse of emergencies. Linguistic features are described, and the linguocultural component is noted, which reflects the influence of slogans on the culture of English-speaking countries. As a result of the analysis of the practical material, it was established that slogans represent a type of instructive text used in the context of the discourse of emergencies. The texts of slogans attract the attention of citizens, are easily remembered, and emotionally affect the reader through common vocabulary, rhythmic structures, repetitions, brevity, visual elements, and other linguistic means related to the specific type of emergency described.Linguopragmatic and some linguistic and cultural features of slogans found in instructional texts within the framework of the discourse of emergency situations in the United States and Great Britain were also identified.
