In a multicenter cross-sectional study of 1,308 people with HIV and chronic hepatitis B, adherence to hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance guidelines was 28% among 1,142 eligible individuals. Adherence was higher in those with cirrhosis (66%) than in non-cirrhotic high-risk individuals (24%), highlighting the need to integrate liver surveillance into HIV care.
