In modern conditions of global environmental challenges, the formation of environmental awareness from early childhood is of particular importance. Preschool educational institutions, as the first link in the system of continuous education, play a key role in this process. Environmental management is an effective management strategy that allows not only to organize a nature-oriented educational environment, but also to holistically integrate environmental principles into all areas of preschool educational activities. Environmental management as a management strategy in preschool educational institutions allows integrating the principles of sustainable development into the educational, educational and economic activities of a kindergarten, which will contribute not only to providing a comfortable environment for children, the formation of their environmental awareness, but also to the development of environmental culture among teachers, parents and the community as a whole. The authors consider environmental management as a management system aimed at organizing the activities of enterprises and institutions (in our case, preschool educational institutions) taking into account environmental aspects. The main goal of environmental management is to reduce the negative impact on the environment, optimize the use of natural resources and ensure sustainable development. Attention is focused on the fact that environmental management in preschool education includes the organization, planning, control and improvement of environmental policy at the level of a preschool institution, which will allow forming the environmental consciousness of all subjects of the educational process. The authors include the following as the leading areas of environmental management in preschool education: organization of a safe ecological environment in kindergarten (equipment, nutrition, psychological and pedagogical support for children); implementation of health-saving technologies in preschool education (nutrition, hardening, mental health); systematic work on raising environmental awareness in children (implementation of traditional and innovative technologies, forms and methods of work, research activities); cooperation of preschool education with parents and the community on natural and environmental issues (joint events, information support for parents, cooperation with the community); advanced training of preschool educators on environmental education issues (through informal education, participation in various forms of work within various educational institutions with the support of preschool leadership).
