The main objective of this paper is to review the role of AI and IoT in the evolution of smart electric mobility. An important change in global mobility patterns has been brought about by the acceleration of the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) because of the shift toward sustainable transportation. The Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) are at the front of this development, allowing for the creation of intelligent, effective, and interconnected electric mobility ecosystems. The synergistic function of AI and IoT in improving infrastructure, user experience, and electric car technologies is examined in this systematic analysis. We look at how AI-powered algorithms for energy optimization, battery management, predictive maintenance, and self-navigating can be integrated with IoT-based systems that enable real-time data gathering, communication, and remote diagnostics. The evaluation classifies current research in several important topic areas, including fleet management, intelligent transportation systems, smart charging systems, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) communication. We also draw attention to important issues including interoperability, infrastructure scalability, cybersecurity, and data privacy. The study concludes by outlining future research areas and identifying emerging trends to aid in the creation of intelligent and resilient electric transportation networks driven by IoT and AI.
