Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) in Niger are a significant cultural resource that can be leveraged to enhance business practices and economic development. A qualitative approach was employed to gather insights from local entrepreneurs and community leaders, utilising semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The analysis revealed that IKs play a crucial role in traditional agricultural practices, with over 70% of interviewed farmers relying on these systems for crop selection and cultivation techniques. The integration of IKS into policy frameworks can significantly enhance the resilience and sustainability of indigenous businesses in Niger, particularly in agriculture and related sectors. Recommendation 1: Establish a national advisory board to oversee the development and implementation of policies that integrate IKs. Recommendation 2: Promote educational programmes that highlight the value of IKS for modern business practices.
