The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the personality traits and burnout levels of pre-service science teachers. For this purpose, the research was conducted using the survey model. The participants, determined through purposive sampling, consisted of 186 pre-service science teachers. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 statistical software package. The results indicated that a significant relationship was found between certain personality traits and the sub-dimensions of burnout. Specifically, there was a statistically significant relationship between the exhaustion sub-dimension and agreeableness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism, between the Cynicism sub-dimension and conscientiousness and neuroticism, and between the Efficacy sub-dimension and extraversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that further research be conducted with pre-service teachers from different subject areas.
