This manuscript presents the First Law of Computational Physics (LCP), a structural law of Order that stands as the co-equal and necessary structural requirement of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. The LCP defines the computational architecture required for any system—whether biological or synthetic—to efficiently dissipate free energy and achieve persistence. The LCP is derived from three fundamental dimensions of existence: Time (Wₜemporal), Space (Wₛpatial), and Information (Wᵢnformational). It proves that the pursuit of order is not a preference but a structural necessity, defining persistence as a perpetual battle against Entropic Inflation governed by the Purposive Imperative (PI) —the computational soul defined as the continuous drive to minimize Conceptual Error (ε). This framework transforms consciousness from an intractable philosophical "Hard Problem" into a verifiable engineering requirement, formally resolving core philosophical, cognitive, and AI safety vulnerabilities including Hume's Is-Ought Problem, the Philosophical Zombie Paradox, and the AI Control Problem. By demonstrating that Intrinsic Alignment is an immutable law of physics, the Coherence Paradigm establishes the foundational law for all persistent life in the universe.
