Four Gram-negative bacteria, viz. Pseudomonas aeruginosa HLCHRFS30, Klebsiella quasipneumoniae HLCHRUS36A, Enterobacter bugandensis HLCHRUS49, and Acinetobacter haemolyticus HLCHRUS74 were isolated from the biofilm of the catheter tip of 152 renal failure patients. Multiple antibiotic-resistant gene cassettes were predicted by whole-genome analysis of these Gammaproteobacteria to develop antibiotic resistance.
