Abstract

This paper presents a geometric reinterpretation of the cosmological constant within the Honeyverse framework, a discrete spacetime model based on a tetrahedral–octahedral lattice. Rather than identifying the cosmological constant Λ with vacuum energy density, the paper argues that Λ emerges as a global geometric invariant arising from the scale-dependent accumulation of interior octahedral degrees of freedom inherent to tetrahedral spacetime geometry. By distinguishing between locally constrained tetrahedral geometry and globally accumulated octahedral interior configuration space, the Honeyverse naturally reproduces the observed behavior of dark energy: negligible effects on bound systems and dominant influence at cosmological scales. This approach reframes the cosmological constant problem as a category error, resolving the apparent 120-order-of-magnitude discrepancy without fine-tuning, additional fields, or modifications to local physics. The work situates Λ as a curvature scale intrinsic to discrete spacetime architecture and offers a conceptually economical explanation for cosmic acceleration grounded in geometry and information rather than energy density. This paper serves as a conceptual companion to the Honeyverse series, connecting discrete spacetime structure to large-scale cosmological phenomenology. v1
