Abstract

Abstract Posterolateral corner reconstruction is traditionally performed via an open approach but remains technically challenging due to limited accessibility and suboptimal intraoperative visualization. Arthroscopy offers improved visualization of the posterior compartment of the knee. While switching to arthroscopic‐assisted posterolateral corner reconstruction, we found that popliteus tendon repair could be performed alongside its reconstruction, potentially enhancing stability and enabling retensioning of the popliteofibular ligament—a structure that appears to be difficult to anatomically recontruct with current methods. This technical note describes an arthroscopic‐assisted posterolateral corner reconstruction and popliteus tendon repair, intended to reestablish the popliteofibular ligament function.
