Background: Ardita Roga is described in the Ayurvedic classics under Vata Vyadhi and is often correlated with Bell’s palsy, a type of lower motor neuron facial paralysis characterised by sudden onset. The aetiology and pathogenesis in Ayurveda emphasise Vata predominance, leading to distortion of facial muscles. This case re-port presents the effective management of Ardita Roga by the principles of Shalakya Tantra and Vata Vyadhi Chikitsa. A 35-year-old female presented with deviation of the mouth, inability to close the left eye completely, drooling of saliva, and heaviness of the face for 3 days. She was clinically diagnosed with left-sided Bell’s pal-sy. Based on Ayurvedic assessment, it was diagnosed as Ardita Roga. The treatment included Nasya Karma, Abhyanga, Svedana, internal medications (Dashamoola Kwatha, Ashwagandha Churna, Guggulu preparations), and physiotherapy. Results: Within 14 days of treatment, significant improvement was observed in facial sym-metry, eyelid closure, and reduction of associated symptoms. No adverse effects were noted. Conclusion: The Ayurvedic approach to Ardita Roga, utilising Shalakya Tantra principles, demonstrates effective management of Bell’s palsy with faster recovery and minimal side effects. This supports the integrative potential of Ayurvedic treatments in neuro-muscular conditions.
