Abstract

The article analyzes research on inclusive spaces, focusing on the specifics of engaging with people with disabilities and implementing accessibility principles within museum environments. It also examines the experience of already implemented inclusive projects. Both international and domestic practices of adapting museum spaces for visitors with disabilities are reviewed. The study finds that the concept of an inclusive environment should be integrated in response to contemporary realities, societal challenges, and social change. The concept of an inclusive museum space is introduced. The article demonstrates that the approaches to exclusion, inclusion, and well-being are shaped through social, pedagogical, and psychological perspectives. The importance of applying universal design principles in the creation of inclusive museum environments is emphasized, and the ongoing need to improve accessibility as part of integrating people with disabilities into the cultural life of society is highlighted. The article offers recommendations for creating inclusive museum spaces that consider not only the visual component but also the complexity and diversity of the environment.
