Abstract

The article discusses current problems of sentencing minors in Russia and England. The main guiding ideas and principles in imposing punishment, the problems of establishing the minimum age for criminal prosecution are analyzed. Certain circumstances are considered, the consideration of which is necessary when sentencing minors. Analysis of individual problems leads to the conclusion about the need to further improve the legislative regulation of criminal punishment of minors in both countries.
