Abstract

Research has been conducted to develop a general model that describes the mechanisms of life phenomena. Life phenomena are understood as systems that extract entropy and resist an increase in entropy in the environment through thermodynamic nonequilibrium processes. Life phenomena have also been explained using complex systems, nonlinear dynamics, and stochastic processes. In this study, we combine these findings to present several conceptual models that explain the mechanisms of life phenomena. Subsequently, some conceptual models describing living systems, stochastic processes, and entropy are discussed.
