Abstract

Open data initiatives have gained traction globally as a means to enhance transparency and accountability in governance. A comprehensive search strategy was employed across multiple databases to identify relevant literature. Studies were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed a significant increase (p < 0. 05) of 20% in public trust towards government services due to open data initiatives, with a notable focus on health and education sectors. Open data initiatives play a pivotal role in fostering governance transparency by increasing public trust and improving service delivery efficiency. Further research should be conducted to assess the long-term impact of open data initiatives on democratic participation and accountability. Model estimation used =argmin_ᵢ (yᵢ, f_ (xᵢ) ) +₂², with performance evaluated using out-of-sample error.
