Abstract

Challenges and opportunities in arts and humanities post-conflict contexts have been extensively studied, but specific frameworks for Tanzanian situations are limited. A qualitative thematic analysis of existing literature on arts and humanities in post-conflict settings, including case studies from Tanzania and other African nations. This framework provides a robust structure to guide policy makers and practitioners on how to effectively integrate arts and humanities into post-conflict reconstruction efforts in Tanzania and beyond. It is recommended that policymakers prioritise community-led initiatives, foster cross-sectoral collaboration, and incorporate traditional knowledge systems within the development of arts programmes.
