Abstract

As a crucial medium for cross-cultural communication, the quality of film subtitle translation directly impacts the audience' s viewing experience and cultural reception.Within the theoretical framework of Skopos theory, this study takes the English subtitle translation of the film Pegasus 2 as its research object.By applying the skopos rule, coherence rule, and fidelity rule, it analyzes how strategies such as domestication, foreignization, amplification, omission, and free translation are comprehensively employed.The aim is to enable the translation to achieve a dynamic balance between conveying the emotions of the original text and adapting to the reception habits of the target language audience.
