His research interests cover a wide range of issues in comparative and evolutionary histology, embryonic and postnatal morphogenesis, neuroendocrine regulation of morphogenesis and regeneration, and the history of histology. A major contribution to cell biology was his research on the relationship between pro- and eukaryotic cells. He created a new direction at the Orenburg Scientific Histological School dedicated to the study of neuroendocrine regulation of cells, tissues and organs. His pioneering research is aimed at clarifying the issues of neuroendocrine regulation of the relationship between pro- and eukaryotes. He has been harmoniously combining his intensive research activities with teaching at Orenburg Medical University for over 50 years.
