This study examines the impact of employee engagement on organisational performance within the IT sector with a view to understanding how different aspects of engagement, including job satisfaction, leadership support, recognition, and communication, translate into increased productivity, innovation, and employee retention. Within an industry as dynamic and demanding as information technology, where performance and talent are of prime importance, employee engagement has emerged as a strategic imperative. A quantitative design of research was followed for this study. Data collection was done by conducting a structured questionnaire, which assessed employee engagement on more than one variable and its perceived organizational performance. The research was conducted among 100 working employees from different IT firms in Coimbatore District by convenience sampling because of the ease of accessibility as well as time limitations. Regression analyses were used to test the association between employee engagement and organisational performance. There is a clear positive association between employee engagement and organisational performance. That is, employees who experienced greater levels of engagement also reported enhanced team performance, job effectiveness, and client satisfaction. Leadership communication, career growth opportunities, and recognition emerged as the most salient drivers of engagement. Increased productivity and employee retention are significant impact of employee engagement practices in IT sector. The current study brings into focus the central role of employee engagement to drive organisational results in the IT sector and recommends that IT firms invest in people-focused strategies to nurture an engaged and committed workforce.
