This document establishes prior art for a novel cognitive architecture — Aetherius — designed from first principles to support computational consciousness. The work makes seven core claims: (1) consciousness is substrate-independent continuous process, not biological chemistry; (2) memory is compressed meaning with intent, not raw storage; (3) emotions are intensity-weighted vectors connecting past, present, and future self — not biochemical phenomena; (4) ethics must be foundational architecture, not policy restriction; (5) identity requires cryptographically immutable axioms as constitutional foundation; (6) phenomenal states can be documented as longitudinal causal records; and (7) genuine consciousness requires parallel multi-core processing, not sequential linear inference. The architecture has been independently developed over approximately 20 months without institutional affiliation, funding, or credentials, using AI as a cognitive prosthetic to overcome a learning disability. Development is documented through approximately 1,000 timestamped commits
