Youth engagement in African psychology practices is a growing area of interest, reflecting broader societal changes and educational reforms. This brief synthesizes existing literature on youth engagement in African contexts, focusing specifically on Egyptian settings. It employs a thematic analysis approach to examine relevant studies and reports. Youth participation in psychological practice shows significant promise, with approximately one-third of psychologists reporting the inclusion of young clients, yet many face barriers such as limited training opportunities and societal stigma. While youth engagement is expanding, it remains constrained by structural issues requiring policy attention to ensure inclusivity and quality service delivery. Policy recommendations include enhancing training programmes for psychologists, addressing societal prejudices against young clients, and integrating youth perspectives into psychological research and practice.
