Key Points

  • This volume aims to explain cosmic evolution through a mechanical framework, avoiding singularities and hypothetical entities.
  • Introduces a tension-capable medium governed by intrinsic dynamics.
  • Explores spontaneous vortex formation and stabilization.
  • Describes cosmic expansion as a result of tension release.
  • Compares MCM with standard cosmology (ΛCDM) to highlight mechanical interpretations.
  • Demonstrates that cosmic structures can emerge from stable vortex configurations.
  • Indicates that many cosmic phenomena can be explained using mechanical principles rather than dark matter or dark energy.
  • Presents a unified approach linking micro- and macro-scale cosmic processes.

Abstract

Volume 2 of the series on the Monistic Continuum Model (MCM) presents a coherent, fully mechanical framework for understanding cosmic evolution without relying on singularities, hypothetical entities, or external forces. This volume (B00–B80) explores how a tension‑capable medium, governed by intrinsic dynamics, gives rise to vortices, stable structures, matter, and large‑scale cosmic organization. Beginning with the tension‑free initial state of the medium, the volume introduces primordial tension, spontaneous vortex formation, and the stabilization of vortex structures as the first long‑lived elements of the cosmos. It explains cosmic expansion as a natural consequence of tension release, describes matter as a stable vortex configuration, and outlines the cyclic interplay between tension, vortices, and structure. The final chapters compare the MCM with standard cosmology (ΛCDM), showing how many observed phenomena can be interpreted through mechanical principles rather than postulated components such as dark matter or dark energy. This publication is part of the ongoing MCM series and provides a foundational reference for researchers exploring alternative cosmological models, continuum mechanics, vortex‑based physics, emergent structures, and non‑singular cosmologies. With clear conceptual explanations and graphical illustrations, Volume 2 bridges micro‑ and macro‑scale processes and offers a unified, medium‑based ontology of the universe.
