The continuous increase in global consumption of depleting material resources demonstrates that global food production is under environmental pressure. Integrating the quality and safety of food raw materials and finished food products within a framework of interdependent and interconnected regulatory requirements is the basis for establishing rules throughout the agri-food chain, which are aligned with the principles of the Common Agricultural Policy adopted for the period 2023-2027. The aim of this study is to define regulatory approaches and requirements for the management of activities carried out throughout the agri-food chain in order to ensure the sustainability of agricultural production and the food sector, united by a common strategy for the protection of food consumers' health and the environment. The results obtained from the implementation of measures aimed at achieving compliance with the adopted strategic management requirements will form the basis for minimizing the aspects of the activity and the resulting risks to food safety and the environment. Keywords: regulatory requirements, agricultural policy, statutory management requirements, agri-food chain.
