Abstract

The global move to renewable energy needs thorough reviews of large‐scale solar installations. The study provides a comprehensive performance evaluation of a nominal capacity of 100 MW utility‐scale solar photovoltaic system that uses integrated clean energy management software. The analysis, which is based on site‐specific meteorological data from a subtropical region, includes technological, financial, and environmental components. Technically, the plant is expected to produce 43,866 MWh of power yearly. The financial assessment suggests a solid investment with a positive net present value (NPV) and a payback period of about 10 years. A thorough sensitivity and risk analysis shows the power export rate and initial capital expenses as the most important factors determining the project’s financial feasibility. The environmental study predicts a gross yearly greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction of 21,617 tons of CO 2 equivalent (tCO 2 ) compared to the regional power grid’s baseline emissions. This assessment verifies the solar plant’s technical feasibility and economic appeal, emphasizing its significant contribution to sustainable energy objectives. The applied technique is also validated as a strong and efficient way to evaluate renewable energy projects holistically, from inception to performance tracking.
