Abstract

The article presents an overview of the reports of participants of scientific conferences held at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and dedicated to its 25th anniversary, which were devoted to the development of political and legal foreign and domestic thought and indicate the awareness of the scientific community of the socio-cognitive value of historical and legal research, an increase in the number of scientific research devoted to the development of thought about the law and the state, the expansion of the subject field of retrospective research, the use of new methodological approaches to the analysis of political and legal thought.
