Abstract

Flexible electronics and current solutions for sustainable energy harvesting such as wind and solar must be amalgamated with an energy storage to store and deliver power properly. The emanation of multifunctional electronic devices with robust mechanical properties like flexibility and the ability to harvest and store energy from abundant sources needs to be designed to integrate with a unique configuration and be an anatomical component of the device at the same time. The central focus of this work is the fabrication of chargeable flexible solid-state energy storage units using functionalized 2D nanoflake hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN). In the first part, synthesized h-BN nanoflakes are used to electrodes, fabricate separator, flexible electrodes, and gel polymer electrolyte. Then, all mentioned components were assembled into the flexible solid-state supercapacitor as a rechargeable energy storage unit. In the assembly method, a reverse evaporation method has been used to obtain the best performance.
