Abstract

In rural Ethiopia, gender disparities in legal rights and access to justice persist, highlighting a critical area for intervention. A quantitative research design was employed, utilising structured questionnaires distributed across randomly selected villages. Women reported significant barriers to accessing justice, particularly related to inheritance and land disputes, with over 70% of respondents experiencing such challenges. The findings underscore the need for targeted legal education programmes and improved access to judicial services in rural settings. Policy recommendations include enhancing women's legal literacy and improving infrastructure for justice delivery in remote areas. Legal Empowerment, Gender Justice, Rural Ethiopia, Women's Rights
