Abstract

This text fixes conditions under which reading, ordering, and structural configuration are established within a non-modal structural system. It does not introduce motion, causality, time, space, subject, meaning, or process. None of these are presupposed or derived. Reading is fixed as the condition of segmentation without reference. Ordering is fixed as the condition under which segmentation holds as relation. Configuration is fixed as the fixation of relational conditions between segments.
