Abstract

This work proposes a constraint-based perspective on the foundations of physical theories. Instead of treating physical laws as fundamental postulates, we interpret them as emergent structures shaped by experimentally grounded constraints. Four primary classes of constraints are identified: symmetry, causality, quantum, and dynamical constraints. Each class is directly supported by well-established experimental evidence and imposes specific limitations on admissible theoretical frameworks. Within this framework, different physical theories—such as classical mechanics, relativity, and quantum theory—can be understood as consistent realizations within a common constrained space. This perspective provides a unifying conceptual language that highlights the structural relationships between existing theories without introducing new physical principles. The approach aims to clarify the role of experimental constraints in shaping theoretical physics and to offer a systematic foundation for further exploration of the space of admissible theories.
