Key Points

  • This research aims to identify early signs of cognitive overload using multimodal data before fatigue sets in.
  • Analysis of multimodal data from wearables including sleep, heart activity, movement, and behavior.
  • Focus on cognitive workload and strain in relation to fatigue prediction.
  • Integration of peer-reviewed science into practical health applications.
  • Proposes identifying earlier signatures of cognitive overload before fatigue is evident.
  • Demonstrates the need for a scientific R&D approach in digital health.
  • Highlights the potential for earning trust through structured experimentation.

Abstract

Digital health is entering a new phase. PHOS Labs was created as the scientific R&D layer behind PHOS, to translate peer-reviewed science, multimodal wearable data and structured experimentation into capabilities that can earn trust. Project Aletheia is its flagship research initiative, focusing on cognitive workload and strain before fatigue emerges, asking whether earlier signatures of overload can be identified across sleep, heart activity, movement and behaviour. This white paper outlines the rationale for PHOS Labs, the broader opportunity that makes such a lab necessary and the role of Project Aletheia as its flagship research initiative. PHOS remains a wellness product, not a medical device and scientific ambition is matched by restraint, clarity and responsible claims.
