Abstract

This study developed and validated the Diabetes Pharmaceutical Care Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (DPCPSQ) within a 16-month prospective design enrolling 141 patients. Although five assessments were conducted (705 responses), only baseline data (141 responses) were used for psychometric validation. The trimmed 19-item version outperformed the original 25-item model, showing improved fit (χ2 = 271.314 vs 415.141; CFI = 0.956; TLI = 0.949; NFI = 0.907; RFI = 0.894; GFI = 0.854), acceptable χ2/df (1.82) and RMSEA (0.076), and markedly better SRMR (0.049). Reliability strengthened (ω = 0.956; α = 0.823), sampling adequacy improved (KMO = 0.846), and convergent validity was enhanced through restructuring weaker domains into a Behavior & Recommendation factor (AVE = 0.556). Collectively, the 19-item DPCPSQ offers a parsimonious, reliable, and valid framework for assessing patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical care.
