Abstract

After gaining independence, the modern form of Indian politics began to develop. It was expected that with the establishment of a democratic system, casteism in India would come to an end. However, the opposite happened. Casteism not only persisted in society but also infiltrated politics, taking on an aggressive form. Casteism has not only influenced India's economic, social, cultural, and religious tendencies but has also significantly impacted politics. Caste has played a crucial role in Indian politics. Not only central but also state-level politics have been affected by casteism, which poses a serious threat to the democratic system. This has hindered national unity and the path to development. Abstract in Hindi Language:
