Abstract

본 연구는 코로나 팬데믹 시기 한국과 일본 성인의 우울 및 신체화 증상에 영향을 미친 요인을 생물심리사회(Biopsychosocial) 모델에 근거하여 비교․분석하였다. 이를 위해 양국 성인을 대상으로 동일한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 한국 900명과 일본 714명의 응답자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 그 결과, 한국에서는 우울에 불안, 외로움, 동료갈등, 음주량 증가가 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 신체화에는 불안, 코로나 이후 기저질환 악화, 외로움, 여성, 가족갈등, 흡연량 증가가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 일본에서는 우울에 불안만이 영향을 미쳤으며, 신체화에는 불안, 코로나 이후 기저질환 악화, 스트레스, 낮은 연령이 유의미한 예측요인으로 확인되었다. 한국의 경우 우울 및 신체화 증상이 생물학적, 심리적, 사회적 요인의 복합적 상호작용에 의해 나타난 반면, 일본은 사회적 요인의 영향이 상대적으로 적고 생물학적 및 심리적 요인의 영향력이 두드러진 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 동일한 감염병 스트레스 상황에서도 문화적․사회적 맥락에 따라 정서적 고통의 양상과 그 영향 요인이 다르게 나타날 수 있음을 보여준다. 나아가 상담학적 관점에서, 국가별 문화적 특수성과 주요 영향 요인을 반영한 맞춤형 접근과 개입 방안의 필요성을 제언한다.
