Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) took centre stage in India in February 2026 as leaders from industry, technology CEOs, policymakers, clinicians, and researchers gathered for the India AI Impact Summit. Held over six days from 16 to 21 February at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the summit is the first major AI gathering in the Global South and the fourth in a series of Global AI summits following the Bletchley Park AI Safety Summit in 2023.
