Abstract

Clothing is not just about style, it carries tradition, values and identity. This study looks at how employees in apparel stores help customers connect with a brand’s culture. Employees play a crucial role in showing these meanings through what they wear, how they behave, and how they interact with customers. I have surveyed 120 employees from five well-known apparel brands in Andhra Pradesh to understand how leadership, clothing and rituals influence brand culture. The results show that when employees feel their clothing reflects the brand’s values, they are more confident and customers feel more loyal. Leadership styles that encourage openness and participation also help employees understand and represent the brand better. Rituals and heritage inspired clothing strengthen authentic and emotional bonds with customers. Overall, the study shows that employees are not just workers they are cultural ambassadors who help keep brand culture alive and meaningful.
