Abstract

P-stereogenic organophosphorus compounds are of central importance in asymmetric catalysis and medicinal chemistry, yet their efficient and general synthesis remains challenging. This short review summarizes the significant progress made in the construction of Pstereogenic centers from 2020 to 2025, including enantiospecific transformation of P-stereogenic precursors, catalytic desymmetrization of prochiral P compounds, (dynamic) kinetic resolution of racemic substrates, and asymmetric oxidation of P(III) compounds.
